The Lancaster Legal Collective's mission is to provide know your rights trainings that empower outside groups to provide legal observers for their protests and demonstrations.

Our Vision

The LLC envisions a Lancaster where citizens can exercise their First Amendment rights unhindered by excessive law enforcement or citizen aggressors.

What are legal observers?

Legal observers participate at events like rallies, demonstrations, protests, and mass gatherings to monitor the behavior of law enforcement. They document evidence about situations in which members of law enforcement engage in improper or extralegal behavior, or situations where such behavior may occur.

Under no circumstances do legal observers directly collaborate with police or event organizers.
